Malinda Pearl Maines Potts,
78 of Winchester, widow of John W. Potts passed away on Mon., June 27, 2011 at the Fountain Circle Health and Rehab. Center. Mrs. Potts was born in Clark Co. On Feb. 10, 1933 to the late James Isaac "Ike" Maines Sr. And Eddie Belle Davis Maines. She was the former owner of Potts Insurance Agency, worked at Jerry's Restaurant, and was a secretary for former Clark Co. Attorney Blake Page. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church, the Women's Army Corps during the Korean Conflict, and the DAR.

Survivors include 2 sons, James L. Mingua Sr. And Linville J. "Jack" Lamb of Clark Co.; 1 daughter, Georgia L. Lamb of Maysville; 1 stepson, Gary Potts of Winchester; 6 grandchildren, Jamie Michelle Caudill, Toby Nicole Byrd, James L. Mingua Jr., John Wesley Mingua, Cody Allen Lamb, and Malinda Beth Lamb; 12 great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; 4 brothers, George S. (Sue) Maines, Earl L. Maines, Henry A. (Carrie) Maines, and John E. (Tarsa) Maines; 3 sisters, Katherine Abner (Bob) Smith, Alberta Baker (Ray) Clevenger, and Mary M. (Paul) Brinegar; and several nephews, nieces and cousins. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, James Isaac Maines Jr. And Joseph Maines.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thurs., June 30 at Scobee Funeral Home by Rev. Lee Cruse. Burial will be in the Winchester Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Randy Abner, George Martin Maines, Darrell Maines, Andrew Maines, Tim Maines, Gary Maines, and Eddie Maines. Honorary pallbearers will be Mrs. Potts' other nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wed., June 29 at Scobee Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice East or to the New Hope Baptist Church Building Fund.
