At 9 months of age, Elvina moved to White Lake, South Dakota by train with her parents, one brother and 4 sisters from Worthington, Iowa. She was educated in rural area schools. She and Al farmed in rural White Lake and Aurora county. In 1950 they moved to a farm east of Mitchell, SD. She continued to live on the farm after Al's death in 1980. Her oldest son now lives on the farm.
Elvina Bosworth, age 97, of Mitchell died June 9, 2007 at Aurora Brule Nursing Home in White Lake. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday June 12, at the Presbyterian Church in Mitchell with burial to follow at Graceland Cemetery.
