Mrs. Adam Schaubert of Bowdon was laid to rest in Wayside Cemetery, Bowdon, on Monday, April 29. Services were held in the city hall with Erling Amdal and Phillip Aarestad officiating. Pallbearers were Harry Patzner, Robert Koeller, Ed Sucket, John Sucket, Christ Bertsch and George Seibel.
Mrs. Schaubert, nee Caroline Bietz, was born in Russia September 16, 1868, and was united in marriage with Adam Schaubert on October 1, 1886. In 1893 they came to this country, settling first in South Dakota. They lived at Milton, S. Dak. a few months, then moved into North Dakota for three years resided in the Chamberlain Reservation before coming to Wells County where they settled south of Heaton. In 1900 they moved to Kidder county, and in 1910 returned here. In 1929 they moved into Bowdon where they have resided ever since.
Eleven children were born to the couple of whom three died in infancy.
Surviving are her husband; 3 sons, John, Jake and Gideon; five daughters, Mrs. Fred Suckut, Mrs. John Neumiller, Mrs. Bill Neumiller, Mrs. James Kunz and Martha Schaubert all of Bowdon. Others surviving are a brother, Gottlieb Bietz; one sister, Mrs. John Tonn, both of Lodi, California; and 25 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Schaubert attained the age of 75 years, 7 months and 8 days at death.
