Thomas Roy Terry, 97, of Heritage Health Care Center in Tuscaloosa, died Sept. 14, 1995.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Mark United Methodist Church. The Rev. Steven A. Screws, the Rev. John G. Kearns and the Rev. O.D. Thomas will officiate with burial in Memory Hill Gardens and Heritage Chapel Funeral Home directing.
He was a charter member of St. Mark United Methodist Church, a charter member of the Northport Lions Club, was named a Melvin Jones Fellow on March 6, 1990, and Lion of the Year in 1976. He was a retired employee of the City of Tuscaloosa Water Works Department where he served as superintendent of Harris Lake and Lake Nichol for 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Flossie Hughes Terry.
Survivors include one son, Eugene "Gene" Terry, Tuscaloosa; four daughters, Alice Terry Kizziah, Tuscaloosa, Earline Terry Kizziah, Houston, Texas, and Alligene Terry Madison and Betty Terry Tucker, both of Northport; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Steve Terry, Ken Kizziah, Al Kizziah, Phillip Madison, Tom Hunter, Lucas Hunter, Tommy Skelton, Danny Hinton, Chad Hinton and Tommy Flowers.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 tonight at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Family Life Center, St. Mark United Methodist Church.
