Mr. Moreau Blackwell passed away at his home in Bridge Neck after years of suffering and feebleness. Interment at Roseland Cemetery in the presence of an immense gathering of friends and relatives from different parts of the country. Across his casket lay a confederate flag, under whose cherished Stars and Bars the silent sleeper once marched to a triumphant and honorable defeat. A widow and six children are left to mourn him. Mrs. William L. Russell, of Mila, Mr. Woodley C. Blackwell, of Sharps, Mr. Hie Blackwell of Baltimore, Mr. T. E. Blackwell, Jr. of Lillian, Miss Fannie Blackwell and Mr. Archer Blackwell,
who are at home with their mother. Also one brother Mr. Ned Blackwell of Wicomico who was too feeble to attend the funeral.
