Mrs. Schulte was born March 1, 1914, in Washington, the daughter of the late Anton Swoboda and wife Josephine, nee Lause.
She received her education from St. Peter's School, west of Washington on Highway KK. On Aug. 6, 1936, she was united in marriage to Joseph Schulte. Mrs. Schulte was employed by International Shoe and was a cook for St. Gertrude Grade School for 26 years. She enjoyed sewing and quilting and was a member of St. Gertrude Parish. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph Schulte; two sons, Raymond Schulte and Brother David Schulte, O.F.M.; a brother, Father Innoncent Swoboda, O.F.M.; two sisters, Theresa Aholt and Sister Mary Alba Swoboda, SSND; and two siblings in infancy, Louis and Agnes. Mrs. Schulte is survived by two sons, Kenny Schulte and wife Bonnie, Washington, and Richard Schulte and wife Rose, Union; four daughters, Laverne Buhr and husband Merald, Rose Monzyk and husband Paul and Kathy Seamon and husband Art, all of Washington, and Jeanette Rhorer and husband Al, Bonnots Mill; a brother-in-law, Ray Aholt, Washington; 20 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; other relatives and many friends. A Mass of Christian burial was held Friday, June 24, at St. Gertrude Church, with the Rev. Richard Coerver officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. Memorials to St. Gertrude Grade School, New Haven Care Center or Masses are preferred
