Millie M. Eckel, 90, formerly of 1200 S. Baltimore, Olney, died at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 19, in Burgin Manor West. Services were Saturday in Summers Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Zumstein presiding. Burial in Crest Haven Cemetery.
Mrs. Eckel was born May 16, 1894, in Pickerel, Neb., the daughter of George and Mary (Hacker) Schoneberg. She married John G. Eckel April 11, 1912, in Beatric, Neb., and he preceded her in death Sept. 23, 1961. She was a Lutheran.
Survivors include four sons, Eldon, Leonard, Elmer and Gilbert, all of Olney; two daughters, Mrs. Helen Shryock of Olney, and Mrs. Verna Connerly of Rose Bush, Mich.; two brothers, Glen Schonebert of Orleans, Neb.; John Schoneberg of Louella, Neb.; 19 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister, three brothers and a great-grandchild.
