Lucy Angela (Bernardini) Patota, 84, passed away June 14, 2011, after a short illness. A native and longtime resident of Syracuse, Mrs. Patota lived in Clifton Park, NY. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Dennis M. Patota, who died July 25, 2006. Beloved mother of four children, Mary (Danny) Sommers of San Jose, CA, Michael Patota of San Diego, CA, Jean (Bill) Neubeck of Clifton Park, NY, and Anne Patota of North Bergen, NJ; grandmother of two, Nicole and Ryan Sommers. She is also survived by her brother, Nicholas (Anne) Bernardini; sister-in-law, Elsie Bernardini. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 8:15 a.m. at PIRRO & SONS FUNERAL HOME and 9 a.m. in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter's Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 1500 Park Street. In lieu of flowers, please contribute memorial gifts to Lucy's favorite charity, St. Jude's Children's Hospital, or the breast cancer charity of your choice.
