Mrs. Terrell Harvey Dunnavant, 88, of 2695 County Line Road, Cullen, VA, died February 17, 2003.

She was born July 14, 1914 in Appomattox County. She was the oldest daughter of Chapman I. and Mattie Baker Harvey. She was the widow of James D. Dunnavant.

She was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church and the Pamplin Chapter Order of the Eastern Star.

She was an employee of Kyanite Mining Corp. for 65 years, beginning her career in 1937 after graduating from Virginia Commercial College of Lynchburg.

She is survived by her sisters, Ida Harvey of Cullen, VA, Emilie H. Bryant of Severna Park, MD and Mae H. Blank of Midlothian, VA; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy F. Harvey of Keysville, VA and Virginia B. Harvey of Richmond, VA; one stepdaughter, Betty Ruth Elliott of Buckingham, VA; several nieces, Linda B. Berry, Patricia H. Stone and Myrna H. Rooks; two nephews, Harvey B. Bryant and Andrew F. Bryant; and four stepgrandchildren.

A funeral service was held Saturday, February 22, 2003 at 2pm at Spring Creek Baptist Church, Darlington Heights, with interment in the church cemetery. Family received friends at the home.

Shorter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
