Ethel D. Notermann, age 81, of Victoria, died on Feb. 7, 1999, at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina.
She was born on Sept. 10, 1917, in Chaska, to William and Elsie (Lunner) Schroers. And she was baptized and confirmed at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Chaska. She was a graduate of Guardian Angels High School. On June 4, 1940, she married John A. Notermann at Guardian Angels.
She was preceded in death by husband, John; son, Michael William Notermann; granddaughter, Kristy Kay Schmakel; parents, William and Elsie Schroers; sister, Florence Engel; and brothers, Laurel, Jim and Harold Schroers.
She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Tom and Carol Notermann, of Chaska, Stan Notermann, of Chanhassen, Paul and Lucy Notermann, of Randolph, Bill Notermann, of Chanhassen; daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Allan Boegeman, of Prior Lake, Karen and Dale Schmakel, of Chaska, Diane Aretz, of Waconia, Kathy and Mike Reishus, of Willmar, Susan and Dan Hilgers, of Waconia, Mary Hart, of Eagan, Ann and Gene Miller, of Owatonna; Donna and Doug Korum, of Chanhassen; 41 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Lucy Claesgens, of Highland, Ind., Gladys and Cy Ess, of Shakopee, Bernice Dellwo, of Shakopee; brothers and sisters-in-law, Roger and Pat Schroers, of Burnsville, Wilbur and Pat Schroers, of Shakopee, George and Jean Schroers, of Chanhassen, Wilsa Schroers, of San Jose, Calif.; sisters-in-law, Frances Gunnerson, of Wayzata, Theresa Koniar, of Minneapolis; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held on Feb. 10 at St. Victoria Catholic Church in Victoria with Father Bob White officiating. Interment was at the church cemetery.
