Ann Joyce Amason, 66, a retiree, of Mize died of cancer March 3, 2001 at St. Dominic's Hospital in Jackson. She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held March 5 at Shady Grove Baptist Church with interment at Sharon Presbyterian Cemetery.
Survivors include sons, Dale Amason and Mark Amason, both of Mize; daughter, Shelia Hammack of Byram; brother, James Box of Mendenhall; sister, Billie Smith of Mendenhall; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, H. D. Amason.
