ILLNESS FATAL TO
MRS. G. A. GILGER,
VETERAN IN CITY

Mrs. George A. Gilger died yesterday at her home, 360 Cortland Avenue, after a short illness. She was a native of Syracuse and a lifelong resident of the city.

She was the daughter of the late Judge Noxon of the Supreme Court. A charter member of the First Reformed Church, her wedding was the first ceremony performed in the church in 1884. She was graduated from Syracuse High School in 1879 and was also a graduate of Wells College.

She was vice president and a member for 20 years of the Ka-Na-Te-Nah Club and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and of Syracuse Colony of New England Women.

The funeral will be conducted Tuesday at 3:30 o'clock at her late home by the Rev. Calvin C. Meury, pastor of the First Reformed Church. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.

Surviving Mrs. Gilger are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. T. Edward O'Leary, of Fredonia; a son, George A. Gilger, of Syracuse; four sisters, Mrs. Charles S. Munger, Mrs. Charles A. Hudson, both of Syracuse, Mrs. L. A. Nichols of Yakima, Wash., and Mrs. George Portman of Redfield, Mass.; and four brothers, James Noxon, of Syracuse, Frank W. Noxon, of Washington, D. C., George W. Noxon, of New York, and B. Davis Noxon, of Florida.
