Transito is survived by five sons, Fred Quintana and his wife, Aurelia, Alfonso Quintana and his wife, Sofie, Carmel Quintana and his wife, Viola, all of Albuquerque, Paul Quintana and his wife, Elaine of Baltimore, MD and Transito Quintana Jr. and his wife, Dolores of Bernalillo, one daughter, Mary Archuleta and her husband, Lorenzo, of Las Vegas. Also surviving are five sisters, Sofia Maldonado of Las Cruces, Dorinda Riley of Gallup, Conferina Chávez and her husband, Ramon of Las Vegas, Pabilita Martínez and her husband, Alfredo of Sánchez and Tomasita Vigil of Hereford, TX, and Frances Quintana, four brothers, Santiago, Eusebio, Petrolino Jr. and Luis, one uncle, Ramon Quintana, one sister-in-law, Vitalía Garia of Las Vegas, 16 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Transito was born in Trementina on October 31, 1897 and was the son of the late Petrolino and Furjencia Gonzáles Quintana. A life long Catholic, he was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church.
Rosary devotional services will be conducted this evening and Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. from the Chapel of the Rogers Mortuary. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. from Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Interment will follow at San Ramon Cemetery.
