DAVENPORT - Erika H. Arnholz, 73, of Davenport died Tuesday, November 3, 2009, at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House. Funeral services will be Monday, November 9, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. at The Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House.
Erika was born February 6, 1936, in Germany, the daughter of Walter and Margarete (Niebisch) Koehler. Erika immigrated to the United States in 1950. She was united in marriage to Waldemar Arnholz on November 1, 1952, in Davenport; he died September 22, 2001. Together, Erika and her husband received their U.S. citizenship in March 1958.
Erika taught for several years at Rex's Academy of Beauty in Davenport and then owned and operated the "Upper Level Salon" for over 35 years. She was always so appreciative of her customers over the years. She loved working in her yard and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Davenport.
Those left to honor her memory include her children, Waldo (Deb) Arnholz, Bettendorf, and Romy (Ed) Laudermilch, Hummelstown, Pa.; grandchildren, Ryan and Andy Laudermilch, Hummelstown, Pa., and Ember Arnholz, Bettendorf; sister, Charlotte Mack, of Germany; and several nieces and nephews in Wisconsin, Germany and Florida.
Her parents and brothers, Herbert and Rudy, preceded her in death.
