Homer Eugene Pilgrim was born in Tulsa to the union of Homer and Lela Pilgrim. He had two older sisters, a younger brother, and one younger sister.
He married his wife in Tulsa, OK in 1946 and three children were born to that union.
Homer was an avid golfer. He served the Baptist church for most of his life and was a deacon at Calvary Baptist Church in Tulsa.
Homer served in the US Army during World war II in the Pacific Theater. He was wounded during the Battle of Okinawa. He was laid to rest with military honors and his burial was officiated by the Reverend Brett Freeman.
