Faye was the daughter of Leslie Ennis Harper and Stella A. Collier. She married Charles Winston Brown. Charles and Violet were the parents of four children: Patricia, Leslie Alan, Elizabeth Ann and Charles Robert Brown. She was tragically killed in a train accident after leaving her mother's home.
