Lottie Lee Lambert Ables, 80, of Taos passed away April 28, 2011 at Holy Cross Hospital. Lottie moved to Taos in 2000 from Lewisville, TX.

She immediately settled into her new surroundings and began working as a 'Class Grandma' at Enos García Elementary School through the Ancianos Foster Grandparent Program via the Ancianos Senior Citizen Center. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Taos.

She was a resident of The Taos Living Center from Jan., 2010 until her death. She loved to read, color, play bingo and socialize. She was born in Grand Prairie, TX on July 1, 1930. She graduated from Euless High School in 1947.

She was married to James D. Ables of Dallas who preceded her death. In Texas, she worked in the insurance industry for many years as well as in the credit department of Neiman Marcus.

She is survived by son James D. Ables (Dewece Smith) of Arroryo Seco, daughters Kimberly Ables Jindra (Don) of Los Angeles, CA and Kristi Ables Scott of Kenmore, WA. Grandchildren Donald R. Jindra III, Courtland M. Jindra, James C. Odneal, Cory A. Dearborn and Hannah G. Ables; and sister Louise Lambert Scoggins (Malcolm) of Waxahachie, TX and nieces and nephews.

Her ashes will be interred next to her husband at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Dallas, TX. According to her wishes, no services are being held. To remember Lottie, a donation can be made to The American Heart Association.

Simona G. Rivera (Mona), Born 4/20/16 in Trinidad, Colorado and passed away on 4/18/2011. Simona was married to Tom Ernest Rivera from Ranchitos (he preceded her in death some 63 years ago).

The Rivera family history dates over 200 years in the Taos Valley. She had 7 children, all raised in Taos: Dina, Ted, Johnny, Ric (LeRoy), Tom, Carmen and Michael, 15 Grand-children, 18 Great-grand children, 3 Greatgreat grand children. Services were held in Castle Rock, Colorado.
