Haywood Curenton

Haywood Nebron Curenton of Enterprise, AL passed away Monday, June 6, 2011 at the family residence. He was 83.

Funeral services will be at 11 am Thursday, June 9 at Sorrells Funeral Home in Enterprise with Rev. John McCrummen and Rev. Fox Fleming officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 10 am until service time. Burial will be in the Enterprise City Cemetery.

Mr. Curenton was born October 11, 1927 in Coffee County to the late Ligon C. and Mary Ina Hardin Curenton. He was self-employed in and retired from the bakery business, as well as having served in the United States Army. He was a member of Woodland Grove Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, his wife, Carolyn Curenton, and a grandson, Andrew Bryan, preceded him in death.

Survivors include 3 daughters: Martha Wood, Enterprise, Rosemary Bryan, Headland, AL, Amy Fleming (Fox), Enterprise; 1 son, Bron Curenton (Kim), Hartford, AL; 1 brother, Foy Webern Curenton; 10 grandchildren: Nathan Riley, Jeri Lynn Wood, Rachel Hughes, Jessi Lyn Bryan, Dustin and Haley Herring, Chase Curenton, Devan, Ivy and Julie Fleming; 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
