William Rowand Chew Born 1844 was a painter for most of his life. He married 3 times and had 2 sons, William Jr and John Wesley. His second wife, married 1869 was Henrietta Turner of Pennsylvania. They divorced sometime after their second son John was born. William remarried in 1879 to a woman named Sallie who is interred with him. William fought in the Civil war and was a volunteer with the famed 12th New Jersey Volunteers. He spent the remainder of his life in the Cape May area of New Jersey as a painter.
