Rosa Lee Middlebrooks Jackson
Birth: Dec. 26, 1917
Houston Lake
Houston County
Georgia, USA
Death: Oct. 7, 2001
Warner Robins
Houston County
Georgia, USA

Our beloved one was a beloved child of God, wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was one of eight children born to Eugene and Julia Middlebrooks in Houston, County, Georgia on Dec. 26, 1917, where she was reared, received her education and lived the rest of her life. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and faithful servant of God who lived her faith. She also was a sweet person with a beautiful spirit. She lived a life that was full and constructive and loving. Her life touched many people. At an early age Rosa Lee Jackson accepted Christ and joined the Sandbed Baptist Church of Kathleen, Georgia where she was a faithful member that served in several capacities up until her health declined. Including as church secretary for 32 years. Her greatest strength was her faith in God. She was married to Albert Jackson who preceded her in death and to this union six children were added. On the evening of Oct. 7, 2001 in Warner Robins, Georgia. Rosa L. Jackson answered the summons that sound for all, for we are sojourners upon earth and our times are in God's Hand's. Those who know her, will remember all their days, some special thoughtful kindness, a word, a smile and a deed reaching out a helping hand, when she saw a need. We commend her to the serenity, peace and the blessing of eternal life. We rest in our faith in God and in the knowledge that we will one day be reunited with her.

I've wrestled on toward heaven,
Gainst storm and wind and tide
Now, like a weary traveler,
That leaneth on her guide;
Amid the shadows of evening,
While sinks life's lingering sand.
I hail the glory dawning
From Immanuel's land.

Deep waters crossed life's pathway;
The hedge of thorns was sharp;
Now these lie all behind me
O for a well-tuned harp!
O to join the Hallelujah chorus
With yon triumphant band,
Who sing where glory dwelleth--
In Immanuel's land.
