Ruth Clemons Wadsworth was the daughter of John Clemons and Abigail Southwick, who are buried in what was a rural area near Hiram, Maine referred to as the "Old Indian Mound". Ruth and her husband, Charles Wadsworth, had eleven children: Betsey Wadsworth Barnes; Peleg C.; John; Colonel Charles Wadsworth; Jane Wadsworth who married Captain Seth Wadsworth; Lucia Wadsworth Butterfield; Henry; Alexander; Frank; Eli; and Samuel.
