Doreen Alicia Alegrete, resident of San Jose, born on December 30, 1938 and went to be with the Lord on July 24, 2010. Doreen is survived by her husband of 53 years Albert M. Alegrete; son, Kyle Alegrete (Peggi), daughters, Terri Alvarado (Steve) and Leslie Campasano (Louie); step-sons Robert Alegrete (Teresa) and Anthony Alegrete (Marianne); her brother Alan Maxfield and sisters Karen Woodward & Leanne Schuetz. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Doreen, being an adoptee, was actively involved in Search Finders of California, Vamanos Camping Club, and her monthly book club. A celebration of her life will be held Friday, July 30, at the Millpond Clubhouse from 1:00-4:00, 2320 Canoas Garden Ave San Jose, CA 95125. In lieu of flowers, the family request Donations to American Cancer Society.
