Benjamin Harrison Morgan Dies At Des Moines After A Brief Illness
Kellogg is called upon to mourn the death of one of the soldier boys who, full of life and strength, went a few days ago to the cantonment in Des Moines. B. H. Morgan, selected from Kellogg, died in the base hospital there last Tuesday afternoon. His death is third since mobilization was ordered Sept. 5. Last week Morgan developed an abscess on his neck. The infection spread rapidly and last Sunday an operation was performed, but brought no relief. R. S. Morgan, his father, came from his home in Itasca, Minn., and was with his son at the end.
Note: The father's name R. S. Morgan above, should be R. G. Morgan. His name was Ryan Gilbert Morgan. Ryan Gilbert Morgan was the son of Ryan and Almira Malvira (Robertson) Morgan.
