"Holland Patent---The death of the Rev. Louis G. Colson, 69, pastor of Holland Patent Presbyterian Church, occurred in a Utica hospital Saturday night. He was taken to the hospital Wednesday for an operation and failed to rally. He leaves his widow, Mrs. Augusta J. Light Colson, formerly of New Hartford, and one daughter, Mrs. Clarence B. Day, Hanchow, China. There are also five grandchildren, Edward, Betty and Plecco Day, and Ralph and Sayla Colson, the two latter being children of Ralph Colson. The two sons of the Rev. Mr. Colson, Ralph and Kenneth, died some time ago. Mr. and Mrs. Day and family are now in this country on a furlough. The Rev. Mr. Colson was born in Batchelorville, N. Y., Nov. 2, 1862 ... He married Sarah Brownell in 1901. Several years afterward he married Miss Rena Merchant of Saratoga, who died six months later.
