Almira was the daughter of :
Anthony Chadwick (1782-1835), b. Martha's Vineyard, Mass.,
[ the son of Anthony Chadwick (1753-1820) and Anna Fish/Fisher (1761-1823) ]
~ and ~
Mary "Polly" (Perkins) Chadwick (1787-1839), b. Nantucket, Mass.,
[ the dau. of William Perkins (1765-1822) and Eunice Ellis (1762-1812) ]

Their marriage was recorded in Vital Records of Nantucket as follows:
"Polly and Antonio [int. Antana] Chadwick, Aug. 31, 1806. [Polly, d. William and Eunice (Ellis) and Anthony Chadwick, "from the Vineyard" P.R. 38] "

The Chadwicks were Portuguese. Anthony Chadwick I, born abt. 1753, came to Martha's Vineyard aboard a whale ship sometime bef. 1800, and was one of the first settlers of Chappaquiddick. Chadwick was probably an adopted name as it is of English origin. He married Anna Fish, b. 1761, dau. of Henry and Susannah Fish(er). *

July 1, 1849 in Nantucket, Mass.

Their marriage recorded in the Vital Records of Nantucket, Mass. to year 1850,
as follows~~
"William, 23, carpenter, of New Bedford, b. New Bedford, s. Darius and Ruby of Fairhaven, and Almira Chadwick, 23, of N., b. N., d. Anthony and Polly of N., July 1, 1849, in N. [William, s. Darius of New Bedford, and Almira Chadwick, d. Anthony and Polly]"

William and Almira had seven children.
They were predeceased by daughter, Hattie L. Bosworth (1860-1888)
