Myra Abbott Fick, wife of William Fick of Brush, died Saturday morning at Eben Ezer Hospital after an illness of a week. Mrs Fick, whose maiden name was Myra Abbott, was born November 13, 1869 at Murryville, Ill. and moved to Hastings, Neb. When a child she later moved to Yuma. She was married to William Fick at Brush, twenty-two years ago. For many years she lived with her husband on a ranch southwest of Brush.

Her father, John M. Abbott, was a Colorado pioneer and her mother yet survives her.

She leaves a husband, mother, a brother, John G. Abbott of Yuma, two sisters, Viola and Leta, a son Harold and two daughters, Alice Fick and Mrs. Kimball of Loveland, Colorado.

During her many years' residence in Brush, Mrs. Fick had made countless friends.

She took an active interest in church work and did many acts of charity. Her neighbors always found her ready and willing in their hour of need.

The funeral was held Monday afternoon at the local M.E. church where the sorrowing friends and relatives gathered to pay their last respects to the departed.
