Sylvia Christina Hooper, 94, of California City, CA, went home to the Lord on April 23, 2011, at her home. She was born October 12, 1916, in San Diego, CA, to proud parents Harold and Christine Kjer Rudolph. Sylvia grew-up in San Diego and Inglewood, CA, and graduated from Inglewood High School. She had lived in the Antelope Valley since 1956. She loved cats, flowers and poetry. "She was an inspirational mother and grandmother, both spiritually and artistically", James Hooper.
Sylvia is survived by her son, James (Marlene) Hooper, of California City, and 3 grandsons, Barry, of San Francisco, and Brett and Victor, of Palmdale, CA.
Services will be held Friday, April 29, 2011, at Community Church of California City, 21001 Conklin Blvd, with a visitation at 10:00 AM and the funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at California City Cemetery. Arrangements by Stickel Mortuary, Mojave, 661-824-2328.
