Tommy Leonard Miller, 67, of
Rock died Saturday in a
Bluefield hospital fottowing a
long illness.
Born in Montcalm on Dec. 31,
1908, he was a son of the late
Mose Miller and Maggie
Perkins Miller. He had been a
resident of Rock for 15 years
and was a retired coal miner.
He was a former employee of
the M. K. & L. Coal Company at
Herndon. He was a member of
UMWA local union 9781 and the
Church of God at Rock. Survivors
include his wife, Pearl
Helmandollar Miller of Rock;
five daughters, Mrs. Joyce
Jennings of Dayton, Ohio, Mrs.
Robert (Shirley) Fisher of
Newport News, Va., Mrs.
James (Marline) Owens of
Connellsville, Pa., Mrs. Howard
(Patsy) Hubbard of Montcalm,
Mrs. Tedd (Drema) King of
Rock; two sons, Douglas Miller
of Rock and Tommy Miller Jr.
of Bluefield; seven sisters, Mrs.
Ennis Hudgins of Montcalm

Funeral services will be
conducted today at 2 p.m. at the
Cravens-Shires Funeral Home
Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. R.
C. Turner and Rev. Mildred
Bleyer officiating. Burial will
follow in Roselawn Memorial
Gardens on the Bluefield-
Princeton Road. Ladies of the
dhurch will serve as flowerbearers.
Pallbearere will be
Ryan Lawrence, James C.
Bailey, Carl Bowman, Jerry
Herndon, Kermit Lucado,
James Blevins, Michael Kidd
and Vencil Perkins. Friends
may call at the Cravens-Shires
Funeral Home until hour of
services.
