Delores "Dee" M. Harmon (nee Beers) of Sullivan, MO passed Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at the age of 59 years.
Delores was born on October 9, 1951 in Sullivan, Missouri to Lloyd and Beulah (nee Gilliam) Beers. She was raised in Sullivan, attended Sullivan High School and worked for a time at Meramec Industries. Delores spent 14 years in Colorado and moved back to Sullivan a few years ago. She enjoyed spending time with her family, needlepoint and reading.
She is survived by three daughters, Chonna McClary and special life friend Kathy Caltry of Bourbon, Tonia Rice and husband Matt of Sullivan, and Tina Firestine and husband Albert of Colorado Springs, CO; eight grandchildren, Johnny, Katie, Cody, Joshua, Colton, Cheyanne, Joe, and Taylor; three brothers, Ed Beers and wife Ann of Treasure Island, FL, Gerald Beers and wife Karen of Washington, MO, Earl Beers and wife Dorothy of Ohio; two sisters, Wilma Gleason of Englewood, CO, and Hazel Crowder and husband Kenny of Sullivan; other relatives and friends. Delores was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Leroy, Vernon, Alfred, Junior, Leon and Ray Beers; sisters, Pauline Beers, Lorine Smith, Shirley Isgrigg, Erma McGraw, Ina Stovall, Iline Stevens, and Melda Burns.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at the New Testament Baptist Church (962 Highway AF, Sullivan) with burial in Upper Indian Creek Cemetery, Viburnam, MO. Visitation will be held from 4 – 8 p.m. on Friday, May 20, 2011at the Chapel of the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.
Arrangements are under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, MO.
