OBITUARY: Probably from the Tucson, Pima Co., Arizona newspaper dated about March 7, 1979.
"PARKER, Ira M., entered into life everlasting Wednesday, March 7, 1979. Beloved husband of the late Clara Fanny Teague Parker, Dearly beloved mother of Mrs. Mary Louise Pelton (Sahuarita, Az.), Ira M. Parker, Jr., (Tucson). Beloved brother of Mrs. Dora Fowler, Fallon (Nev.), Ted Parker,(Tucson), Robert Parker, (Alice, Tex.), Alene Fowler (Portales, N.Mex.), Stanley Parker (Redlands, Calif.), Ada Vaughn (Abilene, Tex.), Florence Elliott, (Aztec, N. Mex.). Also survived by five grandchildren, Mr. Parker came to Sahuarita July 4, 1946, where he farmed and ranched until his retirement in 1963. Mr. Parker was a WWI Veteran and a member of the VFW Roadrunner Barracks Post. Friends received at MISSION MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5465 S. Park Ave. (adjacent to South Lawn Cemetery), Friday 2 to 8 p.m. Funeral services Saturday at 10 a.m. MISSION CHAPEL, with Pastor Riely McCall officiating. Interment at South Lawn Cemetery."
