Resided: County Home for the Aged and Infirmed, Barium Springs, Fallstown Township, Troutman, Iredell, NC

Died: 22 Jun 1959, County Home, Barium Springs, Fallstown Township, Troutman, Iredell, NC

Note: I attended her visitation in 1959. It was dark, and my mother and father took my grandmother to viewing. It was a sad occasion, as Isa lived her last days in the County home.

Burial: 24 Jun 1959, Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, Harmony, Iredell, North Carolina, USA

Regarding Old County Home Burials: According to a newspaper articles, the old home was closed in 1963. When Bernhardt Industries bought the property to build a plant in Iredell County, the graves in the cemetery were moved to the Old Saint Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Statesville, Iredell, NC, located on the Slisbury Rd. The cemetery is near Gordon Iron and Metal Company. When you come off Interstate 77, exit 49 B, look for the Holiday Inn. Go into their parking lot and drive all the way to the back. The entrance to the Old St. Paul's Cemetery is there. I know, sounds weird! It seems so odd that they would move the graves to Statesville!
The old County Home Cemetery was located off of Murdock Rd in Troutman. There a road turns somewhere between Engineered Sintered Components and the old Thomasville Furniture Plant. It goes back in some woods where the cemetery can be found.
