Obituary
Mrs. Henry Bennett
A very great sadness was cast over the community of South Bay Mouth, Ont., on Sunday, January 8th, at 6 p.m. by the sudden death of Mrs. Henry Bennett, aged fifty years. Deceased was apparently in perfect health and attended to her duties as usual until about three weeks before her death.
Mrs. Bennett was a most faithful member of the Anglican Church and was an everyday Christian. The beautiful influences of a pure religion combined with her lovable disposition were spread over a life and character that was spotless and charming. As such a life was a blessing and a benefaction too all within the sphere of its influence, so is the death of such a one a public misfortune, as well as an irreparable loss to the home circle made desolate by her departure. A perfect lady at all times-under all circumstances, she seemed born to inspire the love and respect of all who were so fortunate as to be acquainted with her.
The funeral service was held at her home on Wednesday, January 11th, at 10 a.m. and was largely attended. The many beautiful flowers contributed showed the esteem and respect in which she was held. The Rev. H. E. Pelletier officiated. She was laid to rest in the Hilly Grove cemetery, in sure and certain hope of the Resurrection to Eternal Life. Mr. Howard Smith was undertaker and director.
Deceased leaves to mourn her loss a husband, three sons, five daughters, three sisters, and one brother, besides many friends who deeply sympathize with the bereaved family.
The pall bears (sic) were Messrs. Jack Leeson, Basil Leeson, Grenville Sims, James Lehman, and Austin Wright.
