Thos. E. McMath Dies After Long Illness
Thos. E. McMath died at his home in Marlin after along illness. He was a well known sign writer and had lived in Marlin about 20 years. He was about 53 years of age.

He leaves a wife and eight children.

Funeral services were held at 5:30 o'clock this afternoon at the residence, internment following iln the Marlin cemetery.

Mrs. C.A. Weber of Port Arthur and Mina McMath of Dallas, daughter and son of the deceased, came for the funeral. Another son, Dale McMath, is a member of the B.C. Clark Light Guards on duty on the border.

Thomas was in the sign business and was well known for his artistic work. He was also a talented violinist and composer. He was buried at the Internment Calvary Cemetery in Marlin, Falls Co., TX. His body was removed and reburied in the Field of Honor Section of Restland Memorial Park in Dallas, TX on 09 Nov 1949 after the death of his wife.
