ANOTHER PIONEER GONE

Mr. Ben Wigle, of Camp Point, one of the oldest citizens of Adams County, died at Abingdon about 6 o'clock on Thursday evening, aged 70 years.

Deceased came to Adams County in 1820 and lived here until his death. He was highly respected and did much to build up the County. He was a railroad contractor tor many years, and was elected supervisor to represent his township. At the time of his death he was visiting his daughter, Miss Lizzie, who is teacher of elocution in the college at Abingdon.

Tho cause of his death was blood poisoning. A toe became sore and gangrene set in. The toe was amputated, but the poison had entered Mr. Wigle's system and finally caused his death.

Mr. Wigle leaves a wife and three children - a daughter and two sons - the latter being Miss Lizzie and Samuel and Ebenezer.

The remains will be buried at Camp Point today.
