Daniel Eversole was born August 30, 1855. He married Millie Orr and to this union no children were born but they raised James McCue and adopted May Wilkinson, both are deceased. Daniel passed away October 20, 1938., having been struck by a car and his injuries proving fatal.

D. W. Ackerman was killed by a car at 9:30 a.m. Thursday [10/20/1938] at the Fay Stakemiller home. Mr. Ackerman’s sight was defective. He was born August 30, 1855 in Mt. Carroll. He is survived by two brothers: Sam and William, both of Mt. Carroll. (From Larry Reynolds)
