Rev. Joseph Foss was an ordained Free Will Baptist minister.
He married Elizabeth Tuffs; lived in Lee, NH until 1802. He went west to Brighton, ME, in 1812, and began holding meetings. He became pastor there and stayed pastor for forty years, doing much ministerial work in towns that had no regular minister. He was a worthy and esteemed minister. He preached more than fifty years and died in his 88th year of age.
