JACKSBORO - J.W. Swan, a rancher, farmer and oilfield worker, died Thursday at his home near Jacksboro. He was 80.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Coker Funeral Home in Jacksboro.

Burial will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. Swan was born in Jack County, where he lived all his life. He was a member of Jacksboro Church of Christ.

The family suggests that memorials be made to Concerned Citizens of Jack County or Wesley Chapel Cemetery Association.

Survivors: Two sons, Charles Ray Swan of Jacksboro and James Roy Swan of Iowa Park; sister, Mary Ham of Jacksboro; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
