Born in Pittsfield on May 20, 1936 to the late Thomas and Elsie Greenleaf. Norene was employed by Pittsfield Post Office retiring in 2000. She served as the union secretary until her retirement.
She was a graduate of St. Joseph High School in 1954, where she played basketball. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, sewing, traveling to South Carolina and to Florida. She was an avid Red Sox fan and especially loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children: Gail Connors of MA, Wanda Connors and her husband Kurt Miller of SC, David Connors and his wife Kari of OR, Wayne Connors of OR, Kimberly Herron and her husband Kelly of FL, Tammy Madison of Florida. She is also survived by three brothers: John Greenleaf of MA, Gerald Greenleaf and his wife Linda of NY, Thomas Greenleaf and his wife Joy of MA, a sister: Lois Greenleaf of MA, and ten grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 20, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Devanny-Condron Funeral Home, Pittsfield, officiated by Rev. Peter Gregory.
Burial will be held in St. Joseph's Cemetery immediately following the services.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2011 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Devanny-Condron Funeral Home.
