Mrs. James F. Nemec, 57, of Rt. 3, Box 67, died yesterday afternoon in a local hospital after a short illness. She was a resident here for 34 years and was a member of Christ the King Altar Society and Christ the King Rosary Society. She was also president of District 10 KJZT.
She is survived by her husband; a son, Gilbert, a daughter, Mrs. H. L. Champine, all of Corpus Christi; four brothers, Joe and Stanley Halvelka, both of Taylor, Louis Halvelka of Houston and Jerry Halvelka of Corpus Christi; six sisters, Mrs. Louis Urbanek of Taylor, Mrs. Gus Kovar and Mrs. Frank Nemec of Granger, Mrs. Antone Kays of Crowell, and Mrs. Antone Ermis of Agua Dulce, and six grandchildren. source: Corpus Christi Caller-Times, Wed., 1/1/1964, 12C obit contributed by href="http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=mr&MRid=46854863">Judy

Funeral Mass for Mrs. James F. Nemec, 57, of Route 3, will be at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow at Christ The King Catholic Church. Burial will be in Seaside Memorial Park under direction of Maxwell P. Dunne Funeral Home. Mrs. Nemec died Monday. Rosary will be recited at 8:15 p.m. today at the funeral home chapel.
