Funeral services for Herbert Levi Brown, 89, of Monroe, LA, will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, May 19, 2011, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Tommy Frost officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Brown, retired from the U.S. Postal Service, passed away Monday, May 16, 2011. He was a veteran with the U. S. Army Air Corp (Flying Tigers) during WWII.
He is preceded in death by mother, Annie Carrie Everett Brown; father, Marcus Brown; brother, Leroy Brown; and sister, Lillie Babb.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Barlow Brown; two sons, Doug Brown and wife Theresa of Arlington TX, and Gordon Brown and wife Maryann "MiMi" of Tinton Falls, NJ; three sisters, Mildred Cooper of Monroe; Margaret Noble of Vidor, TX, and Shirley Edwards of Monroe; five grandchildren, Scott Brown, Carrie Lord, Joshua, Andrew, and Erik Brown; three great grandchildren, Ryan, Hannah, and Molly Brown.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 18, 2011, 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Brown, Andrew Brown, Erik Brown, Scott Brown, Khris Lord, and Terry Brown.
