EIDSON -- Dan Darnell Lawson, age 92, Eidson, died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2001, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home following an extended illness.

He was a deacon and member of Mountain View Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Paralee Lawson.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lydia Elizabeth "Lizzi" DeBord Lawson of the home; a son, Donnie H. Lawson, Rogersville; five daughters, Barbara and husband Donald Lilly, Long Beach, NC, Ada Pillion, Morristown, Roberta Lawson, Abingdon, VA, Martha Jones, Rogersville and Sheila and husband David Whitt, Morristown; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends 6 - 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, 2001, at Colboch-Price Funeral Home, Rogersville.

Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ricky Parker officiating. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, 2001, at Highland Cemetery
