She was a member of Faith Assembly Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, Rod Gladson; mother, Scottie McMakin Snapp; and step-father, J.T. Snapp.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Kenneth Alvis of the home; three daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Rodney Woods, Sarasota, FL, Soozi and John Miller and Jeni and James Gary Bare, all of Rogersville; five grandchildren, Joseph and Keeley Smith, David Shields, Amy Powell and Kenny Bare; three great-grandchildren, Blayne and Conner Powell and Lucas Buck-Miskus; special friends, Ann McMakin, Edith "Chug" Peeples, Leigh Alice McNeil, Margaret Sells and Joyce Simon.
The family will receive friends 6 - 8 p.m. Sunday, June 24, 2001, at Colboch-Price Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. with Revs. Billy Ray Courtney and Jerry Lee officiating. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, June 25, 2001, at Highland Cemetery.
