Funeral services for Hoyt. Irene Beard, 91, were Nov. 6, 1999, at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bradley Rushing officiating. Mrs. Beard, a resident of Billdora Nursing Home, died there Nov. 4, 1999. She was a housewife. She was born Feb. 12, 1908, at Walthall County, daughter of the late Louis and Anna Conerly Brumfield. She married Seth Beard, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a son, Elbert Beard; a sister, Jessie Brumfield; and four brothers, Issac, Charlie, Barnum and Doc Brumfield. She is survived by two daughters, Peggy Martin and Laura Lee Dixon, both of Tylertown; a son-in-law, Mason Martin of Tylertown; three sisters, Marie Brumfield and Lottie Harvey, both of Tylertown, and Bernice Bozeman of Jayess; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Tony Martin, Kevin Martin, Kelly Martin, Tommy Brumfield, Elton Bozeman and Mike Dixon. Burial was in Tylertown Cemetery with Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home in charge.
