On 22 December 1884, he married Minerva Jane Cunningham at Wilsonburg. In 1900, they were living in Newburg, WV. The census from the 11th of June, Lyon district, has his name written as McGinnis, H. William.
Bill's children include Martin L. McGinnis, Raymond H., Dakota E., Ira G., Russell Edward,
Carrie F., Lula, Adda, & Dakota, born 11 Oct. 1886.
Lulu, born 8 May 1896 (?), delayed birth record says TWIN.
Adda, born 10 Nov. 1897 (? Six months apart, obviously, both cannot be correct & I don't have the answer. Perhaps one child is niece or other relative?).
Nothing further for Dakota - assumed died in childhood.
The death record reports Bill's age as 79 yrs, 8 mths, 26 days; occupation - farmer.

However, a marriage entry for William & Minerva gives his birthplace as Preston county, with hers as Harrison county. The delayed birth record for Lulu gives Kingwood as Wm's birthplace and Wilsonburg as Minerva's. This page has her mark, and was witnessed.
