Ambrose was one of the finest doctors in Wolfe Co. I would imagine anywhere he lived. He also doctored my g-grandmother Osborne in his home when he lived on Stillwater. He and Nancy nursed her until her death in 1888. This was in my g-grandfather's civil war pension papers. He went into great detail about Dr. Ambrose Swango caring for his wife in her final days.
