Born in Emporia, Lyon County, Kansas Mr Collis was a rancher in the Wenas area from 1913 to 1947. He moved into Yakima at that time and went into the real estate business. He was a charter member and past master of the Wenas Grange and a member of the Presbyterian Church.

Mr Collis died Sunday April 12 and the funeral was Wednesday April 15 with burial in the Tahoma Cemetery
