Jimmy W. Clodfelter, 71, of West Salem died at 4:52 p.m. Thursday October 27, 2005 at Wabash General Hospital in Mt. Carmel.

Services at First Christian Church in West Salem with Brother Gary Hall officiating. Visitation at Ingram Funeral Home. Burial in Moravian Cemetery in West Salem.

Mr. Clodfelter was born December 11, 1933 in West Salem, the son of Gerald and Wilma (Jones) Clodfelter. He married Wanda Lee Hames of New Harmony, Ind. on July 18, 1959 in West Salem. She survives.

He retired after 40 years of service as a teacher; guidance counselor and administrator in the Edwards County School System. He also taught mathmatics at Frontier Community College in Fairfield. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and Army Reserve. He was a member of First Christian Church in West Salem, where he served as an elder.

Mr. Clodfelter is survived by his wife; daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer and Mark Shylanski of St. Louis, Mo., and Rebecca and Eliot Brenowitz of Seattle, Wash., a daughter, Kathleen Clodfelter of Vienna, Va.; a sister, Jacqueline Orel of West Salem and three grandchildren, Luke Shylanski, Lilah Brenowitz and Iris Brenowitz.

Memorials may be made to West Salem Fire Department or Edwards County Ambulance Service.
