MINNIE VOGEL OSWEILER, 89, of 2910 Johnson Ave. NW died Friday at her home following a brief illness. Born April 24, 1893 in Keokuk County, she married George Osweiler on Nov. 26, 1912 at Clear Creek, Iowa. He died in 1957. She was a retired seamstress for Mercy Hospital and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and St. Margaret's Circle.
Surviving are three daughters, Martina Schissel and Annabell Reader, both of Cedar Rapids, and Mary Bueter of Fort Wayne, Ind.; four sons, Victor of Tallahassee, Fla., Charles of Shell Rock, Iowa, Donald of Dubuque, and George of Las Vegas, Nev.; 35 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
Services: 10 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church by the Rev. Alfred G. Brosius. Burial: Mount Calvary Cemetery. Rosary: 7 p.m. Sunday at Teahen Funeral Home where friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday. A memorial fund has been established.
