Violet Rosalia Peterson was the first child of Frank William Peterson and Amanda Christina Fast Odean. Violet married Frank Emmanuel Peterson on December 5, 1912 in a home 4 miles north of Oneida, Illinois. Violet and Frank had four children: infant son (still born), Erving Franklin, Violet Ramona, and Richard Donald. Violet was noted for making the best fried chicken and apple pies.
