William S. McDaniel, 76, of Oak Brook, formerly Northbrook, passed away Nov. 29, 2010. Loving father of Kathleen (Mark) Turner, Alex and Leigh McDaniel ; proud grandfather of Delaney and Kinsey Turner and Amanda and Stella McDaniel; dear brother of Tom (the late Pam), John(Judy) and Ed (Jean) McDaniel; beloved husband of the late Lucy Bishop; and dear friend to her children, John (Adina) Bishop and Lucy (David) Beard; and grandchildren, Danielle Beard, Matt, Emily and John Bishop. Bill was a simple man who always walked to his own tune and who appreciated the little enjoyments in life. He was an analytical observer, and he usually made his opinion known by way of his dry sense of humor. He leaves us with many happy memories and will be remembered fondly.
Visitation Saturday, 2 to 4 p.m. at N.H. Scott & Hanekamp Funeral Home, 1240 Waukegan Rd. (just South of Lake Ave. on west side), Glenview, where a funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Funeral info 847-998-1020.
